A modern fresh looking Web GUI and Layout will enhance the look and make it more User friendly.
Just trying to know if a Modern GUI (Bootstrap) already planned for Duplicati App?
If its not in the roadmap, is anyone interesting in making it possible?
New experimental UI was the Release note announcement with directions on how you can try it.
Announcing Remote Backup Management in the Duplicati Console may be a new GUI for some.
Beyond that, you might need to wait for the developer, if you wish to get into deeper discussions.
Hi @tj0xin, yes, we are fairly far along with a new UI.
The main motivation was to get away from AngularJS into something that is actively maintained, and in return is maintainable.
Since the jump away from AngularJS is quite big, we decided to start over and also implement a new UI on top. The new UI is structurally the same, but with a more modern look.
If you want to try the new UI, as @ts678 links to, you can change ngax with ngclient in the browser url, for example:
http://localhost:8200/ngclient/

Will all the information that is visible in the old gui be added to the new?
Yes! We are currently working to get “feature parity”, so you can do the same in both UIs.
For some time, it will also be possible to switch between the two UIs, in case something does not yet work in the new UI.
