Hello,

after setting up a backup job on my Windows 10 client with destination “Microsoft OneDrive v2” the job terminates with the error:

“Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt”

Any help very much appreciated.

Does “Test connection” work? Please try “BACKUP/FOTOS” and “/BACKUP/FOTOS/”. With / instead of \ please.

I am seeing the same problem since I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10. First it worked, but after moving files to the new computer, the amount of data to backup grew to 50 GB and now I keep getting this error message. When I retry it comes again, though always at different times.

Onedrive vs Object reference not set to an instanc from the other thread (parallel threads are messy) has my request (with no response so far) to see if anyone can find the original error by doing logging.

This is the correct stack trace. For some reason, it attempts to save a null block during spill pickup. It is likely not related to OneDrive, but maybe it happens because the backend fails early.

As a side note: Meanwhile I have created an almost identical backup configuration that backs up the same file set to my local NAS using WebDAV. This backup worked without any problems. Of course the NAS is connected with a fast Gigabit ethernet line, whereas for OneDrive I have “only” about 100 MBit upload speed.

That is not correct, it is trying to use m_compression after it has been closed.

I have not figured out why it does that just yet, but it still looks unrelated to the actual backend.

What version of Duplicati? Some potential null reference exceptions have been fixed since the last beta (2.0.4.5).

2.0.4.23 is the same as 2.0.4.5 except for a warning for Amazon Cloud Drive users. There’s a possibility that this null reference exception has been fixed since then.

A user reported a similar issue below with version 2.0.4.23 and OneDrive. Upgrading to 2.0.4.38 appears to have resolved the issue.
