The automatic mounting only works on Windows unfortunately.
The force-smb-authentication is also “windows only”.
If you want to mount a CIFS share, you can use the latest canary build, which has a new destination option for CIFS.
This one is built without operating system support, so it works the same on all operating systems. Using this method also avoids having the backup destination available for other processes on the machine.
