It seems that the “Save different versions with timestamp in file name” restoration option was broken recently, as it’s now always overwriting existing files. I’ve used that option quite often and never had any problem with it until I had to download an update from duplicati.com instead of installing from within Duplicati itself. I think that was 2.1.0.103? I’ve updated to 2.1.0.104 today but unfortunately it’s still broken. Is this a known issue and is there any way to fix it?
Thanks, enabling “restore-legacy” in the “Settings > Default options” section seems to fix the problem. Is it a known issue with the new restoration code then? If not, hopefully the devs see this post!
@freezy thank you for reporting the issue! It has been fixed in PR 5842 and is part of the canary build 2.1.0.105. Do let us know if that (or other) issue(s) still persists.
