To get the full error message, Duplicati will write a message in the file crashlog.txt inside the Duplicati data folder (usually ~/.Duplicati/crashlog.txt). We need the full message to better understand what the problem is.
But since you commented in Crash 2.3.0.1 on Start (Kubuntu 26.04) I am guessing you are seeing the same issue. If this is not the case, please post the contents of the crashlog file.
I have posted a bit more details in the other thread, but replicating the two workarounds here:
- Install
seahorseorlibsecretwhich will allow Duplicati to have secure storage of the database encryption key - Set the
--disable-db-encryption=truecommandline option (orDUPLICATI__DISABLE_DB_ENCRYPTION=trueenvironment variable).
The first option enables the encryption, the latter simply ignores it.
