Hi, in the two updated duplicati installations to 2.0.5.1 I can’t restore files from the GUI, my log is:

However, if I export the backup to command line and I restore the same files from adapted command line they are restored perfectly.
Can it be a GUI password error? My two installations use duplicati service.

There is no problem because I can restore from command line but it is scary the first time.

Thanks a lot for you awesome product.

Welcome to the forum @lluishzi

Does this refer to an adaptation of Export As Command-line (which is built for a backup command)?

Were the backups being run from a command line or the GUI?

What Storage Type is this on the job’s Destination screen?

Do you use a password to get into the Duplicati web interface?

Do you let your browser or password saver autofill passwords?

Does Commandline in the GUI Restore? This will also need to be adapted into syntax for a restore.
Before running, you can checkmark Edit as text of Advanced options and verify –passphrase.
It sounds like something is causing wrong passphrase, and this might be the clearest non-CLI view.

Yes, I’ve exported the command line from the job of the GUI, replaced backup by restore and specified a single file for test and it worked perfectly

The backup has been run schedulded from duplicati service
What Storage Type is this on the job’s Destination screen?
A local folder
Do you use a password to get into the Duplicati web interface?
Yes , I use password
Do you let your browser or password saver autofill passwords?
Yes browser stores passwords under a global password
Anyways, without touching anything from scheduled job of Duplicati.Service the backups are going without issues and the command line generated from the GUI (with the stored password untouched) works

The command for restoration is:

"c:\Program Files\Duplicati 2\Duplicati.CommandLine.exe" restore "file://D:\bkduplicati1\\" copiaDiscantic2.txt --dbpath="C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Duplicati\AILNPAOMKX.sqlite" --passphrase=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Password saver may autofill too many places, getting --auth-password is not supported #4102

is a problem where some browsers autofill passwords way too readily, and in the wrong places.
This is why I asked for the GUI Commandline check, including Edit as text to check for that.

You’re absolutely right, when I’ve erased the saved password from firefox, the restoration worked fine. I’m sorry for haven’t seen the answer before, I’ve searched a lot but not enough.
Thanks.
