The description of the new version says it allows NET8. Is it necessary to download NET8 so that version Duplicati 2.1.0.2 is usable? I had to install NET7. I don’t think that I need this new version, but I might install it if NET7 is compatible; if not I understand that I need NET8 too but could also do nothing for the moment
Not for Duplicati you didn’t. It doesn’t need .NET 8 installed either. It’s self-contained.
OK may-be I had to install NET7 for something else, for example the SeaDrive suggested by the renter of cloud space I am using as place to put my backups.
The info file about Duplicati 2.1.0.2 said something like it supports now NET8 - but I wonder what for if all versions of Duplicati are self-contained - I might install Dup. 2.1 if I feel that it is clear
