Hi, crashplan veteran here, migrating to Duplicati. Mostly doing well - my archive is now up on s3 and regular backups are working. Now I’m trying to get the Windows Task Scheduler to run backups in the night after switching the PC on from sleep.
The issue I’m having is that the scheduler task can’t see the network drive I’m trying to backup, as I think there’s a known limitation in Windows. It can see UNC pathnames though. I thought I could solve this using --alternate-destination-marker and --alternate-target-paths but I get an error in my log when I try to use these options:
Backup started at 21/09/2017 11:41:11 The supplied option --alternate-destination-marker is not supported and will be ignored The supplied option --alternate-target-paths is not supported and will be ignored System.IO.IOException: The source folder M:\ does not exist, aborting backup at Duplicati.Library.Main.Controller.<>c__DisplayClass16_0.<Backup>b__0(BackupResults result) at Duplicati.Library.Main.Controller.RunAction[T](T result, String& paths, IFilter& filter, Action`1 method) at Duplicati.Library.Main.Controller.Backup(String inputsources, IFilter filter) at Duplicati.CommandLine.Commands.Backup(TextWriter outwriter, Action`1 setup, List`1 args, Dictionary`2 options, IFilter filter) at Duplicati.CommandLine.Program.RunCommandLine(TextWriter outwriter, TextWriter errwriter, Action`1 setup, String args)
this is the batch file - it works interactively if I remove the --alternate options, but fails every time I run it from Task Scheduler. Have also tried escaping the ‘’ characters and every other combination I could think of.
@echo on "C:\Program Files\Duplicati 2\Duplicati.CommandLine.exe" backup "s3s://***deleted***/?s3-server-name=s3.amazonaws.com&s3-location-constraint=&s3-storage-class=&auth-username=***deleted***&auth-password=***deleted***" "M:\\" --backup-name="music-archive" --dbpath="C:\Users\charl\AppData\Local\Duplicati\NDRIBCSFTH.sqlite" --encryption-module="aes" --compression-module="zip" --dblock-size="50mb" --keep-time="6M" --passphrase="***deleted***" --exclude-files-attributes="system,hidden,temporary" --alternate-destination-marker=duplicati-music-archive.alternate-destination-marker --alternate-target-paths=M:\\;\\\\DISKSTATION\\music --disable-module="console-password-input"
any help much appreciated.
