Yes. Set the –snapshot-policy option to something other than Off (the default) and make sure Duplicati is running with elevated rights.
if duplicates is active as a service, does it already have the high level?
Probably, but not necessarily. A service can run under any account, including local users that do and do not have administrative rights. If it’s running as the special “LocalSystem” user then yes it has administrative rights.
