Unable to login to localhost:8200 since updated to 2.2.0.3_stable_2026-01-06

Hello,

In my previous stable release y was able to login to 127.0.0.1:8200 and run backup jobs that backed up open or locked files without problems. Since my las update to Duplicati 2.2.0.3 stable_2026-01-06, I had to configure a new job in port 8300 as I have never been able to login again to port 8200 although the job stil runs.
I am able to login to 127.0.0.1:8300 but I am not to port 8200 in order to edit or erase the configured job plus In this release I haven’t been able to backup locked or open files.

I am running it on Windoes 11 Notebook

Just to help others, I solved both problems:

I was able to backup locked or open files by stoping the service, closing Tray icon and removing Duplicati, then do a clean installation and start the service.It worked and I was able to backup open files such as .pst files from Outlook.

Second issue noy being able to enter GUI in port 8200 because of incorrect password.
The only way of resetting the password was the execution of the following command:

Duplicati.CommandLine.ServerUtil change-password --server-datafolder “C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Duplicati”

If it was before v2.1.0.4_stable_2025-01-31 it missed mandatory password.

Combining Server and TrayIcon is one way to stop TrayIcon from coming up
standalone (add --no-hosted-server), as it searches for an available port.

Detached TrayIcon gives some other ways to get the TrayIcon authenticated.
