Unable to connect to the remote server

Hi everyone, first off thanks for reading.

I have 2 PCs at two different location, around the same time starts throwing up the same error as below. Am out of ideas why is that so… Appreciate any input thank you!

Presumably your destination Storage Type is B2 Cloud Storage. Can you test it to see what it can do?

Or browse to https://104.153.233.176 but don’t expect to interact with it. Just test for fast error or not.

If you have an antivirus on these two PCs that blocks sites, you might see if this address is being blocked.

Backblaze has had problems with some of its servers being blocked lately. They’re taking steps to resolve, however it should have been improved by Feb 23. Third-party IP blacklists might be harder to solve though.

You’re awesome sir for the swift reply!

Edit: Sorry, seems like it times out trying to go to https://104.153.233.176. But doesn’t seem like my AV is blocking them though…

Edit 2: Seems like the connection is just bad, high ping and also dropping…

I doubt it, but I am not sure. If it connected fast then complained, that might be different from your original “Unable to connect to the remote server” issue. You said “PC”, so I guess this is Windows which doesn’t experience TLS issues as often as systems (e.g. Linux) using mono. Microsoft Edge’s complaint explains

This server couldn’t prove that it’s 104.153.233.176 ; its security certificate is from backblazeb2.com . This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

but actually it might just be that I called it by address, not name (trying to force use of a problem address). Certificates are name-based.

OK, I see you’re editing. That ping does look pretty bad. You could replace ping with tracert for a look…

Sorry, my apologies for the edit. The tracert fails too, this could really well be my connection maybe. Asked my friend to do it for me and his ran well.

Thanks for the brainstorming session @ts678 ! At least I know this is not a Duplicati problem now

Thanks a lot!
