Running as a service: Opening lots of new Browser Tabs

Hi,
I’m running Duplicati as a service. Almost everything worked smooth in this way.

As I realized, that backing up EFS encrypted files as SYSTEM user cannot work, I changed the user under which the service is running to my local user. This user is an admin user.

Starting the service results in opening infinite tabs with the web GUI of Duplicati. I have to stop the service, not to flood my browser with tabs.

Going back to the SYSTEM user and starting the service only one tab is opened.

Due to the EFS issue I have to go back to start the Duplicati server in the old fashioned way in the taskbar…

How can I prevent the “tab explosion”?

If you look in Task Manager, you’ll probably be able to see the below. Do you see it?

The Duplicati.Server.exe PID should stay stable. When run as admin, does it restart?

is what happened when I switched (and it’s not restarting), but possibly yours differs.

If Duplicati.Server.exe is restarting, use Event View to read Windows Application log.

What Duplicati version is this? Regardless, developer could likely give better answer.

Good idea, to watch the PIDs!
I prepared the windows of the browser, Task Manager and Servicemanager and started the Duplicati service: No flooding occurred again!
No idea what this have been at weekend!

The backup is running well again!
