Restore with Invalid password or corrupted data Error

Hi, today i wanted to test if i can restore data from an backup and got the error in the title.
The first try was to recover data direct from the backup.

Letzte erfolgreiche Wiederherstellung: heute um 13:12 Uhr (dauerte 00:11:24)

It was only one file and at the end i got the error. The file was only 0 bytes. The original is about 28kb.

In the process to choose the file to recover I got warnings. But when i press show, i don’t see the actual warning only older logs. I tried differnt backup versions and get the same error.

I tried a recover from an other machine with manual giving the data and restored the whole folder with the file i got the error and every file could be recovery but only the one with problems couldn’t be recoverd with the same problem.

I use the latest stable version from duplicati and the backup is on a synology NAS with sftp. The backups run on a MS server 2016.

How can i repair the backup. I got no warnings and errors during the last backups. I tried file check but although got no errors.

Make sure that the file is really corrupted by downloading it with your favourite sftp client and try to decode it using

If an encrypted file is not valid you can’t repair it, you can only download again the data if it’s still available on the host.
if this is the case, in your place I’ll try to use the ‘Affected’ command to find the files concerned and then the ‘Purge’ command to remove them from the backup. If it works, it should not be necessary to repair the database.
