Restore using new server

Hello,

we are currently using Duplicati 2.1.0.2_beta_2024-11-29 to backup our file server to Backblaze storage. the Idea is to be able get files or restore from external should our main office goes down or no longer accessible. However it it needs the Duplicati server to do the restore or to open and decrypt the back up files. My question is, would it work if I will export the configuration of each database and when needed, reinstall Duplicati in the new server and import the database configuration to access the existing backup file from Backblaze?

Thank you,

ABH

Keep your configuration exports somewhere safe that stays accessible of course.
They will be important to restoring full config (although only a restore needs less).

There is also a local database that needs to be recreated on new system. Test in
advance (as with any DR plan) to make sure you find the DB recreate speed OK.

Once you fully set up the new system like the old one, don’t also run the old one.
Multiple systems changing the same destination folder could confuse each other.

If you’re going to restore repeatedly (e.g. priority order), a job DB might save time.
For a one-shot restore that recreates an appropriate database without using a job:
