Restore from B2

hello all,

I have finished uploading my large backup to B2 (600Gb). Now I am trying to run a test restore by restoring a single file photograph.

I went through the restore wizard fine and selected the destination folder (my Ubuntu Desktop).

What I am seeing now is “Building partial temporary database” screen. I am not sure if there is any progress with my test restore because the bar is barely moving.

Question
Should I leave my PC running overnight and hope to see my restored file at the morning?

If you did “direct restore from backup files” then it does need to generate a local database. This operation can take some amount of time (although it shouldn’t be too bad, unless there’s a problem).

Normally you will want to restore directly from the backup job itself so that the existing local database is used.
