I’ve deleted on last friday the local database and wanted to recreate the database. Now it’s tuesday and the recreation haven’t finished yet.

Round about 5 minutes for every dblock. The recreation will need about 14 days to recreate the database. Huh, that’s quit long.

There is a delay from up to 6 hours for one dblock. Can someone tell me, why this action takes so long?
Is it possible to stop the recreation of the database and start the backup?
Does the backup work without a database or does the job recreate the database and it’s useless to stop the recreation at this point?
