I’m not very fluent with how GitHub works, but am I correct that this change has made it into the current stable version?
If so, how does one use it? I can’t find it anywhere in the options list in the UI, nor does supplying “–hyperv-ignore-client-warning=true” manually appear to do anything either.
It went into master on Nov 25, but by then, release branches were in use.
If you’re on Stable, you can sort of see this from About → Changelog, where Canary releases happen until 2.1.0.0_experimental_2024-11-15, but after that you don’t see the Canary detail.
Those who like all the latest work can stay Canary, but branch gets only a hand-picked subset.
Apparently this one didn’t make the cut. It was actually release noted in Canary though, below:
Thanks, it looks like I’m just a little bit early.
I worked around this years ago by just having Hyper-V VMs keep all their storage in a single location and pointing Duplicati at that location instead of using the built-in Hyper-V tools on client versions of Windows.
It’s been the way it is for years, I can wait longer.
