I have a PC with two user accounts, and installed Duplicati under mine (admin). Problem is in the weeks my wife is the only user, no backups are made as Duplicati does not run in her account (it is there, but knows nothing about a backup plan).
Did I install it wrong?
I suspect that you will need to run Duplicati as a Windows service. Otherwise it only runs when the user is logged in. I found useful instructions here: Migrating from User to Service install on Windows

This is the right answer. Unless run as a service Duplicati will look for it’s configuration in the active users appdata directory, which is why there is no config when logged in as a different user.
Thank you, I will give that a try. I have used many backup programs in the past and never has this been an issue, so it appears running as a service is the norm.
