Disaster Recovery

This chapter describes the process of restoring as much as possible from a backup that is inconsistent due to corrupted or missing files at the backend

When you lose a dlist, you lose that time’s view of files, but typically some nearby time will do.
A lost dblock affects files whose blocks it had. A dindex file is just an index of dblock contents.
The tool below doesn’t even use dindex files. It looks at dlist for files and dblocks for contents:

Duplicati.CommandLine.RecoveryTool.exe

This tool can be used in very specific situations, where you have to restore data from a corrupted backup. The procedure for recovering from this scenario is covered in Disaster Recovery.
