There was no error of any kind. But on Windows it said it backed up 35gb of stuff. trying to restore it to linux and it’s just folders with nothing in them. I ultimately had to log back into windows and manually copy the folders to my external to get them moved over. I didn’t see anything about problems between the two so. I’m not really sure what it’s doing. But clearly not recovering files. Even though it took a good 15 minutes+ to finish the restore.

Can you provide some (redacted) screenshot and a step-by-step explanation that shows what you are doing and where it fails?
We have identified an issue with cross-OS restores where the new UI will sometimes show folders as files, but other than that I am not aware of issues with cross-OS restore.
Okay then. I reinstalled it on both sides as I had removed. I swear it recovered nothing the first couple tries. Maybe I did it wrong then. I was able to successfully recover both a local path on the C:" drive on Windows to Linux as well as one of my OneDrive folders. I’m lost but apparently this is an invalid report of a problem. My apologies again for wasting folks time. Going to mark as solved and or please delete altogether. Feel a fool.

I’m hoping this is seen, even though marking as solved. I narrowed down the issue. It was working the the other night. today i tried it again for something and the issue isn’t that it doesn’t restore files to Linux. It’s that it is so super slow while doing it. 21gb of backup. After 15+minutes it had managed to restore 450mb give or take. So I had apparently checked while it was still in process. that being said why it’s slow? I have no idea. My drive is usb3.0 docked in this case.
I think you are hitting the “bad default cache size parameters” issue:
You can either configure the cache size parameters to fit your setup, or use --legacy-restore in the advanced options.
