NOOB Missing volumes help

Hello,

I get the below warning and errors. I’ve deleted and rebuilt the index. I’m new to Duplicati…how do I fix this?

2022-11-05 23:30:30 -05 - [Warning-Duplicati.Library.Main.Database.LocalRecreateDatabase-MissingVolumesDetected]: Found 4 missing volumes; attempting to replace blocks from existing volumes
2022-11-05 21:45:44 -05 - [Error-Duplicati.Library.Main.Operation.RecreateDatabaseHandler-MissingFileDetected]: Remote file referenced as [duplicati-#'s removed.dblock.zip](https://duplicati-b2cfabeb0884e4f91803f78b7766a2691.dblock.zip/) by [duplicati-#'s removed index.zip](https://duplicati-i2d3bbf35c9f44a16a1094af0a11d5b5c.dindex.zip/), but not found in list, registering a missing remote file

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum @tl5k5

I’ll assume you mean the database, using the Database screen’s Recreate button. If not, please clarify. Assuming the messages are from that, it looks like you either have a missing dblock or an extra dindex.

A dblock is not really fixable because it’s often historical data. An extra dindex is just deleted. Finding the correct path is, unfortunately, hard, but if you want to hope for an extra dindex, some directions are here, however your test would be to move extra dindex elsewhere (just in case) then see how Recreate does.

In other topic, a database search was first confirmation, although the affected command was proposed. Depending on how technical you want to get, different paths may be preferred. None are totally simple…

EDIT:

Third option proposed for other topic was a database bug report being made, stored, and link to it posted along with some file names. The random dblock and dindex characters have no encoded secret in them.
