Ng-client translation

Hi
I’m new here. Trying to involve in the project with Transifex I see some Advanced options show as stroked font in the web-GUI. Are they abandoned or not yet available in current channel?

Also, how is managed the revisor role for this project/language?
Thanks

Welcome to the community :waving_hand:

Can you provide a screenshot for context? Not sure what you mean exactly.

We don’t currently have enough participants to have a formal review flow. I know that for German , the contributors there discuss among themselves to get the best results.

Also, please tell me the release channel that will show first new strings/translations.

Thank you all.

To get the latest updates, you need to use the ‘Canary’ version, which is a test version, so it’s not recommended for backing up important data.

Which language are you interested in? If you want, i can tell you the status of the translation.

Thank you

Yes I know, it’s just to have a preview in a VM for translation. My production release channel is “Stable”

Yes thank you.
Well I’m currently translating to French. What about my question and screenshot ?

All right, so you’ve already registered and you’re translating. The interface is about 70% done (the ngclient.xlf group). You’ve got quite a bit of work ahead of you to finish it all, you’re about 50% done.

I am following the Italian translation and with the new version i am checking all the strings (translated over the years by different people and never checked again). I have finished ngclient.xlf and localization_webroot.pot and I have 989 left in localization.pot.

Have a nice night. Any idea of what are stroke options in my capture ?

What do you mean? I don’t understand the question.

Have a look at my capture : what means options with stroke font (abandoned/not yet fully developed?) ? If not visible on the capture just try to add (just as dry-run change, don’t save if you have not a test environment setup) an advanced option to one of your “My backups” (or create a new one) - this is on the 5th screen > “Add advanced option button” and use the search field to type e.g. “disable-filepath” so see what I ask.
I see this in both current Stable and Canary, either English us-en and other languages

Okay, now i understand. I don’t know what that means, let’s see if @kenkendk can give us an answer.

That is deprecated options. What we do when an option is no longer needed/supported, we mark it as deprecated for a few versions. The idea behind this is that you then get a warning says “Option --abc is deprecated, please use --xyz instead”.

Once we actually remove the option it will give a warning like “Option --abc is not supported”, and the delay will hopefully make it so that most people will see the better warning message.
