Minimum requirements for macOS

Great to se a new beta version released. I see there is a macOS 11.0 requirement for the latest 2.0.7.1_beta_2023-05-25 version. I’m not sure why this version specifically is required, but is there any way to work around this requirement and install on an older macOS version?

My specific scenario is on macOS 10.15, the version just before macOS 11.

Hello

I’m not sure about the requirement reason, it has to do with the toolchain used to generate the release. You can try to install the previous version and use the automatic upgrade, or download the .zip and just overwrite the files if the automatic upgrade does not work. Absolutely no warranty it will work correctly though.

I proceeded with the upgrade recently and everything seem to work fine with the latest 2.0.7.1 beta on macOS 10.15.

How was that found (if you can recall or locate info again)? This just got rediscovered here:

including the tray icon? Or are you not using that piece? Are you on 2.0.8.1?

I don’t recall specifically. I would guess the release notes or changelog. I started reading through all changes before upgrading, after I ran into issue due to a database version upgrade at a previous time.

I have since retired the machine running macOS 10.15 and replaced it with a fresh machine with an Apple Silicon chip. So I am running the latest beta by now. So sadly I won’t be able to lookup further details as the machine is now gone.
