Mac - Other user's directory access restrictions

I’m finding that the default install is failing to backup files in other users home directories due to access restrictions.

Is there any way to assign root privileges to a backup job or to run Duplicati as a service, such that a single install can back up the entire file system?

Or, if I’m going about this the wrong way, then please let me know how I should be backing up all users files with a single backup.

Thanks.

This post by @kenkendk may still apply, though it is slightly stale (appears to be from just before the version 2 release):

If that doesn’t work for you, please let us know.

I did not get the time to make a script, so you need to follow the instructions in there (we did manage to package it in a real MacOS app though!).

Please let us know if those steps work for you as it might make sense to bring them over here as a #howto Topic.

Thanks, I’ll give it a go.

This google group no longer exists. Are there instructions anywhere else?

Thanks,
