Losing connection to remote server for backups

Hi all,

I’m running a zimaos box with duplicati doing incremental/scheduled backups to another NAS on the same server. Things work great until we have power issues here - brownouts happen way more than I’d like to admit.

I have a feeling this is a zimaos issue more so than a duplicati issue, but thought I’d ask here.

I believe what’s happening is that the zimaos box has the NAS mounted but it doesn’t automatically mount the NAS every time it reboots after a blackout. Zima / linus keeps a drive mounted despite the drive not being there. So when Duplicati tries to access it’s printing out the errors of cannot find the files in the backup destination:

Found 138 files that are missing from the remote storage, please run repair

I’ve followed some steps I found on here about repairing the database, it can’t be repaired. So then deleting the database and repairing, but getting this error:

The database was attempted repaired, but the repair did not complete. This database may be incomplete and the backup process cannot continue. You may delete the local database and attempt to repair it again.

I fixed this previously by just starting from scratch and deleting all original backups, I can’t do that everytime.

Any help would be appreciated!

I figured it out. It’s something to do with how zimaos connects to the nas. I found that by going into the settings of duplicati from the zimaos dashboard and choosing the folder for the back up location in the settings again resets things. Just have to be careful to use the same folder each time.
