I am using Dupliciti on my Ubuntu desktop machine as a backup of my Samba Shares (1.5TB). I am looking to reinstall to Ubuntu Server.
The 1.5TB of shares will still be there not changed. So when I install Ubuntu Server and reinstall Duplicity… how do I salvage my files without having to backup all 1.5 TB again?
First, this project is “Duplicati” not duplicity 
The easy way to save the Duplicati state is to make a copy of ~/.config/Duplicati and then copy that folder back in on the new installation.
Alternatively, you can go and export each of the backup configurations, and then import them on the new installation.
