How to configure incremental backups?

The idea of Full, Incremental, etc. backups doesn’t apply to many of the newer backup solutions such as Duplicati.
With Duplicati, every backup can be thought of as a “differential” backup meaning only parts of files that have changed are backed up.
Unlike a classic Incremental backup (where restoring multiple files would mean restoring a Full backup then “layering” all the needed Incremental backups made after the Full backup) a Duplicati restore will automatically re-assemble all the appropriate parts needed to restore the file as it existed for the date / version selected.
