I am on Windows 10. I run the version 2.0.7.1. I would like to upgrade to the new version, the 2.1.0.2.
Even if the Duplicati offer to automatic update, I understand that it is not supported between these two version.
I would like to know what is the correct procedure to follow to manually upgrade.
Thanks.
which is also featured on the Download page, but without release note highlighting the
“Important changes from 2.0.8.1 or older” which you should read, and decide which fit.
I’ll specifically say that the new GUI will want a password set if you browse to Duplicati, rather than using the Open function on TrayIcon. Duplicati Access Password describes, however which parts apply depend on setup. TrayIcon is easy, service or Docker worse.
Installation gives guidance on package selection. There’s not really an upgrader, so just stop whatever Duplicati parts are running, and run the installer like a typical OS installer.
EDIT:
If you use a Windows service install, don’t let the .msi installer start up Duplicati for you, because then you’ll have two and it will be confusing. You should deselect such a startup.
