How does Duplicati handle computer shutdown while doing backups?

Hi,

usually I stop the backup with Duplicati UI (“after current file has been uploaded”) and do a delayed shutdown via shutdown.exe, but sometimes I forget it. Or my wife is working on the PC which may do backups while she shuts it down.

How does Duplicati handle this? Are there incomplete files? If so, where? (client/server)… does it resume? I reckon it restarts upload of last file it uploaded… but there may have been changes… etc etc
Most important to know is, if a shutdown is able to corrupt a backup. I guess this is not the case because shutdowns are common…

Duplicati is designed to handle these cases, so you should not have problems with aborting the backup. Feel free to test it by killing Duplicati during a backup and see what happens.
