Duplicati stops making backups and no errors

Hi everyone, I’m using duplicati since October 6, and worked fine but for no reason stoped making backups somewhere around October 18th.
The backup job is running and finished, there is no error/warning but do not copy any new files.

For test purposes, I created a second job in the same location and one of the sources that I used, and this works (at least for now)

What can I do and what Can I check?
Let me know what information you need.

Hello

in the UI, at the top of the window, there is a big box that is normally displaying ‘Next scheduled task:’ + a date in the future. If you disable the scheduling of your new test job, is this box displaying ‘no scheduled tasks’ ?

Yes I see that the next schedule backup will start tomorrow.

Both backup the real one and test are set up in the same way. Backup start at 8am everyday.

In your place I’d still invalidate the test job, changing the schedule of the real job so that it starts in the next few minutes, then look at the status box to see if anything is displayed, also look at the live log in the ‘About’ while raising the level to ‘explicit only’.

I done that. I even run a backup manually. I get message i logs that everything finished with success but files was not copied to the backup. I even generate test files totally new and the run backup manually and the same result.

What logs I can provide you for the investigation?

Then copy this full live log and post it. If you don’t know how to do it, you can either use the upload button to post a file (I think you have to zip it on this forum), or post it inline using the three backticks (, like that: ```) at the beginning of a line trick.

What log lvl should I chose?

The highest level, explicit only, will give the most information. If it’s too much posting (never tried to max out a post on this forum), try verbose.

Well, the level ‘Explicit only’ makes it too big to fit all the log in the window. Switch to ‘verbose’ then.

I think that I found the reason. I accidentally put an asterisk mark and exclude main source folder  I remove this asterisk and run backup again. When it’s finished I will know if the problem is solved.

EDIT
Problem solved. The thread could be close.

The original poster (you) is supposed to close the thread by marking a post as solution. Short of that, only a forum manager can do that but it’s not quite fair to expect it since it’s also an unpaid position (I think).

I don’t think any positions are paid (ignoring the infrequent third-party bounty on some GitHub issues).
All volunteer, and we need more especially on the development side but basically anywhere can help.
Duplicati is a community effort, free to be used, but it can only be as good as the community makes it.

Regarding closing forum topics, it’s not a bug tracker like GitHub, so open/closed is taken quite lightly. Marking something as the solution (usually self-service, although I just found I have a button hidden in another menu) is good to clue forum searchers in to topics that might solve a problem similar to theirs.
