Is there any benefit to using the rclone interface to S3 as a backend instead of going directly to S3?

Only benefit I can think of is you get two copies of your backup data. One local, for fast restore. And one remote for DR.
If you don’t care about that, then I’d simplify by just going straight to S3.
I’m not set up to retain a local copy, as it writes directly to the rclone s3 backend.
