using Duplicati (2.0.6.3_beta_2021-06-17) on a Synology, installed as package shows a problem.
Because Duplicati stores its config and databases on /root/.config/Duplicati the Synology will get into problems, if the databases grow. The partition “/” on a Synology is only about 2.3Gb in size.
You will encounter errors while trying to install DSM updates and many other problems (instable DSM, many functions not working).
I moved the Duplicati folder to another volume and created a symlink at /root/.config
But this should be done during installation to avoid this problems.
