Duplicati on MacOS for Multiple users

Hi,

i have a Mac Pro that is used by multiple users. What is the best way to setup Duplicati to support backups from their home directories? Normally, they don’t log out. Session is locked, laptop is passed to the next user and they log on into their account. The old session stays active in the background or goes stale whenever macOS decided to do it.

I have found some old articles that hint to setting up Duplicati in server mode. Has anybody a working setup like this or a good hint which howto to follow?

Hi @randombackup, welcome to the forum :wave:

I would think it works “as-is” ?
Each user runs an instance in their user context.
This stores data under ~/Application Support/Library/Duplicati for each user, so they should all work fine.

Is there anything that does not work as you want it?
