Dropbox OAuth failed

Hello,

I tried connect to Dropbox, get message
“Failed to connect: Error reading JObject from JsonReader. Path ‘’, line 0, position 0.”

Settings Dropbox have this

Do you still have the problem? The error message indicates that the Dropbox server (or at least some server) is returning a non-json response.

This could be caused by proxies perhaps?

Hi kenkendk

Yes i’m still have the problem. The server is CentOS 7.

The server is CentOS 7, we do not use proxy, we use mikrotik for the firewall, before we had NethServer as a firewall, the same problem. You do not have to enable a port something like that?

All those who use oAuth (onedrive, dropbox, box, gdrive) I get the same error, with Mega.nz I have no inconvenience because it does not use.

Is there a duplicate log to see if there is more information about the error?

¿Can you help me?

There is no specific log for this part, but it basically sends your AuthID to duplicati-oauth-handler.appspot.com and gets an OAuth token back.

If you know the public IP for the machine, I can see if there is a problem on the server. Otherwise I suggest enabling socket debug logging as explained here:

Simply copy the xml to a file called Duplicati.GUI.TrayIcon.exe.config and place it in the Duplicati folder, then restart Duplicati and you should get a trace of all network traffic in the network.log file.

I’m tried copy and restart service, but the network.log doesn’t appear in folder Duplicati.

I get log by email from duplicati

If you are using the service, the file should be named Duplicati.Server.exe.config

Unfortunately, it does not reveal more about the cause of the problem.

Copy xml file

in the folder /usr/lib/duplicati/
Duplicati.Server.exe.config and Duplicati.GUI.TrayIcon.exe.config

I’m restart duplicati service
systemctl restart duplicati.service

the files does not appear network.log

Maybe the path needs to be something else? Can you try setting the network.log path in the config file to be something world write-able, like /tmp/network.log ?

I’m enabled port 443 and add option duplicati --accept-any-ssl-certificat=true

Arh, so a firewall issue.

That most likely means that the backup has run at some point, but now it can no longer find the files that were supposed to be at the remote site. Check the destination folder with https://drive.google.com and see if the files are there.

I’m set configuration in Dropbox, but I’m find files does not shown

I’m tried again and get this message:

Clearly the files are not found on Dropbox.

I notice that they are all dblock files. Could it be that you have a very high volume-size setting so the files are larger than what Dropbox allows?

Do you get any errors during upload?

Configuration this:

–send-mail-username=sgh@hgsd.gob.ec
–send-mail-url=smtp://mail.hgsd.gob.ec:587/?starttls=always
–send-mail-password=************
–send-mail-subject=Duplicati %OPERATIONNAME% report for %backup-name%

–encryption-module=

From Dropbox:

Yes, but this is a continued backup (i.e. you ran the backup before).

I was thinking that there might be errors or warnings reported during the first backup. In the listing here it also states that the dblock files are the problem.

I’m read other forum:

I’m trying add option –no-backend-verification set true

It’s works, but doesnt upload dblock

I have just re-tested uploading 50mb files to Dropbox without any problems.

My best guess is that this is a setting on your account that prevents storing the larger files. Maybe you are out of storage space on your plan?
