Is it possible to set up backup schedule to be something like “run back up every last friday of the month”?

the Duplicati scheduler is too limited for that. You would have to use an external scheduler. Ways to do that have already been written many times on this forum.

another option might be to start it on a frequent schedule, then have run-script-before check the time and use an exit code to knock out the runs that aren’t at the right time, per Example Scripts

so in your case, run it every Friday (it doesn’t have a calendar, but Fridays always come a week apart).
