Bug Report: New UI and pCloud: Duplicati - 2.2.0.1 - 2.2.0.1_stable_2025-11-09

Hello,

Environment:

  • Windows 11
  • Browser: Firefox 146.0.1
  • Duplicati - 2.2.0.1 - 2.2.0.1_stable_2025-11-09

Problems:

1) Configuration of Filters:

Problem: Not all Filters are visible and so cannot be changed, or some new filters cannot be added. Only about 17 Entries are visible.

Workaround: Change to old interface.

Wish: Add a scrollbar to the filter list. Also add the possibility to edit the filter as text (like in the old UI)

2) Importing exported configuration as a new configuration

Problem: Do the following steps:

  1. Export an existing backup configuration (disable include passwords)
  2. Edit the configuration and change
    1. Remove “LastRun”, “TargetURL”, “DBPath”, “Metadata”
    2. Change “Name”, “Description” to new name/description
  3. Import the changed configuration (Backups Add) → Import from file.
  4. General backup settings open
  5. FAILURE:
    1. No possibility to enter a password for encryption of the backup, even if the Configuration states that it is “Encrypted Backup”.
    2. Proceed to last configuration page and try to enter the “Submit” button: No reaction, Errors: “Missing Passphrase”

Workaround: Use the old UI

3) Configuration of pCloud usage

Problem: Do the following steps:

  1. Edit a configuration
  2. Go to the destination page
  3. Change to use pCloud
  4. As server select pCloud europe
  5. Enter a valid folder path
  6. Press AuthID and in the new window enter the valid credentials: After this the new window closes it takes some time until the AuthID field is filled.
  7. Press test connection: Error code 401…

Workaround: Enter the AuthID of an already existing backup configuration. Even during the AuthID generation it seems that this AuthID is not changed (which is a good thing, because otherwise all other backups to pCloud would not work any more).

Remark: I also observed that the “Test connection” has failed in the first attempt. Selecting the other pCloud server and then switching again back seemed to solve the problem, but I am not sure about that any more, because I cannot reproduce the problem.
