BUG: New UI, manual start: Wrong job's name will be shown

Hi All,

Setup:

  • Win11 Home, 24 H2 (the newest available update is installed)
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics, 1.80 GHz
  • Chrome (64 bit, the newest available update is installed)
  • Duplicati has 6 backup jobs defined and scheduled
  • I’m using 3 monitors (notebook + 2 externals)

Bug:
The below mentioned bug can be reproduced.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start with the old (NGAX) UI
  2. Click Use new UI at bottom => OK, the new UI will be shown
  3. Alternative steps:
    3.1 Click on the Start button of a backup job => OK, the selected job will be executed and its name will be shown on the top
    3.2 Wait for the next scheduled job will be started => OK, the scheduled job will be executed and its name will be shown on the top
  4. (The issue is there) Click on the Start button of a backup job (which is not the previously selected/scheduled) => ERROR, the name of the previously selected/scheduled job (thus, not of the selected one’s) will be shown on the top.
  • You can repeat it (step 4) as frequently as you want, the same (wrong) name will be shown - as long as the next scheduled job will be executed: Then its name will be shown for the following manual starts.
  • While the backup job is still running and the wrong name will be shown on the top, click on Revert to NGAX client: In the old UI the correct name (as running job) will be shown.

Can be closed: 2025-05-29 - 2.1.0.119_canary_2025-05-29 doesn’t seem to have this issue.
