Backups have gotten much slower

Has there been any change in the last few weeks that would slow down backups massively? Before, y 50GB source completed in 5-10min, now it takes over an hour. Even counting the files is muuuuch slower, to the tune where it increments the counter by about 20 per second were previously it was hundreds to thousands of files being added per second.

I have a suspicion this started around the time the file being processed was added to the web GUI, is that perhaps at fault?

I am running the last canary before the multi threading right now.
