Currently have a home environment running 2.0.8.1_beta_2024-05-07 on four separate Windows PCs, each backing up to a shared Windows (SAMBA) file share, and the critical ones also backing up to an S3 (Wasabi) service.
I’m looking at transitioning to the new current release cycle – but I’m just getting increasingly confused with the deployment options.
What I’d like is to be able to centrally administrate and configure all the instances from a single dashboard; I’m neutral as to whether I’m running a central backup server and backup clients on each PC vs. running backups directly on each PC to a shared file share.
At first I was under the impression I could do this with the new versions (without paying a prohibitive subscription) – but now I’m unclear on the optimum configuration. I’m not sure how to reconcile monitor up to 5 machines with Agent mode is only available on the Enterprise plan.
What are my reasonable deployment choices? Thanks.
