Maybe the solution is simply to prevent sending in multiple retention values at the same time?

JavaScript seems the wrong spot since true CLI and even internal C# code also delete.

The solution would be to deduplicate the request before doing it, but I think you just did:

Fixed multiple retention settings in delete.
