ACD Failed to Connect

Hi All.

First post here, so hope someone can help.

I came across Duplicati whilst looking for an alternative to Hybrid Back Up on my QNAP NAS, as the upload speed to ACD is awful, a well know issue documented by lots of people on the QNAP Forum.

I’ve installed Duplicati 2.0.3.12, on my QNAP TS463A, running QTS Firmware 4.3.5.

Whilst trying to set up the connection to my ACD, when I test the connection, I get the following error:

Failed to Connect: Failed to authorise using the OAuth Service: Error: TrustFailure
(SAL error: 1000007d:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:CERTIFICATE_VERIFIED_FAILED)

Is this something to do with no certificate on my NAS to verify the device?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Darren

Hi @dmn1981, welcome to the forum!

I don’t use ACD (or have a qnap) myself but hopefully somebody else who has gotten Duplicati working on their qnap (such as @gregma, @Kudo, or @Wim_Jansen) will have an idea about certificates on the device.

A forum search found some previous generic commentary at:

CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED error when running duplicati

SSL TLS support in Mono

On some other Linux systems, a Mono update direct from https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/#download-lin has helped, but I don’t know how QNAP users deal with things like package management.
