2.1.0.112_canary: Mega - no username?!

After my update to 2.1.0.112_canary my backups to Mega fail with the message:

2025-03-28 07:59:57 +01 - [Error-Duplicati.Library.Main.Controller-FailedOperation]: Die Operation Backup ist mit folgenden Fehler fehlgeschlagen: Kein Benutzername angegeben

UserInformationException: Kein Benutzername angegeben

I checked and the username is still in the job config. When I click “Test connection” there, I get a similar message:

Failed to connect: error-id:MegaNoUsername, user-information:Kein Benutzername angegeben

Checked in old or new UI or another way? If in new ngclient UI, does old work?

For me, 2.1.0.112 in the new UI drops B2 credentials, but I also don’t see them.

From what, and what UI was it before?

Thanks for reporting. That is a new error in 2.1.0.112 that messed up the parsing.
I have a PR ready to fix it, so it will be fixed in the next canary build.

By the way, is there documentation on how to ‘downgrade’ to another update channel when I’m on canary?

There are currently no changes that affect the database, so you can freely switch channels. Simply install the version you want. If you need to downgrade to an older version, we will post instructions like these:
