2.0.7.2 msi on GitHub contains 2.0.4.2

Hello

could you be a bit clearer ? Do you mean that after installing https://github.com/duplicati/duplicati/releases/download/v2.0.7.2-2.0.7.2_canary_2023-05-25/duplicati-2.0.7.2_canary_2023-05-25-x64.msi (or is it https://github.com/duplicati/duplicati/releases/download/v2.0.7.2-2.0.7.2_canary_2023-05-25/duplicati-2.0.7.2_canary_2023-05-25-x86.msi ?) the installed version shows as 2.0.4.2 ? and where exactly ?

The downloaded version:

after installing shows in GUI 2.0.4.2, as well every single dll or exe has that version on file properties/details tab.

Sorry but I can’t repro this. Err, don’t you think this could have been reported already ?
Most probably, you have already this very old version installed and the new install has not gone well. Try to uninstall from the control panel (uninstall the service first if it is installed), then reboot, then install the new version.

What are the file dates? If old, that supports the hypothesis that the new install has not gone well.

You can also wander around the .msi to see if it really contains 2.0.4.2, e.g. look at changelog.txt
7-Zip can browse a .msi file, and there are probably other programs available that can also do so.

Although it’s a little downstream from a few initial tests, I’d note 2.0.4.2 was Experimental channel
and you’re trying to switch to Canary. Ordinarily an install from .msi is one way to switch channel.
