If you use a Windows account that has admin privilege, you don’t even need to use the task scheduler. You can just do this:

1. Create a shortcut to Duplicati.GUI.TrayIcon.exe
2. Right click the shortcut, and select Properties
3. Select the Compatibility tab in the Properties dialog
4. Enable the option to “Run this program as an administrator”
5. If desired, put this shortcut into your Startup folder to run Duplicati automatically at login

I was using Windows 7 when I wrote that. I have since switched to Windows 10, and it doesn’t seem to work on Windows 10. The task scheduler method still works nicely.
