What happens with incomplete backup job when the next scheduled backup should run?

I have an initial massive backup running for more than a week. From what I see it won’t be complete until the next scheduled backup will start in a few days (it should run every 2nd week).

I’m worried that Duplicati will cancel the current job and start a new backup from scratch. Is it a valid concern? Should I do anything like edit the job’s schedule while the job is still running? Can this cause an interruption? Or maybe it’s perfectly safe for me just to sit and wait till my initial backup is complete and Duplicati will simply skip the next scheduled backup?

No action is required - Duplicati won’t cancel the running job. It will queue up a pending run instance of the backup, so once the first backup completes you may see it start another run right away. The subsequent backups should be quite fast though as only new/changed data blocks are uploaded.
