What does warning "Failed to load process type" signify?

The warning shows intermittently and leads to duplicati-monitoring showing the backup as having trouble.

Harmless bug that appears on non-Windows platforms and can be ignored. A fix is in newer canary versions and will make it into the next beta. There is a way to manually fix this on 2.0.5.1 if it really bothers you:

  1. Download the ZIP of 2.0.5.1 here: https://github.com/duplicati/duplicati/releases/download/v2.0.5.1-2.0.5.1_beta_2020-01-18/duplicati-2.0.5.1_beta_2020-01-18.zip
  2. Extract AlphaVSS.Common.dll to /Applications/Duplicati.app/Contents/Resources/AlphaVSS.Common.dll
