Using the Beta releases is recommended. The latest version is 2.0.5.1.
Canary channel (2.0.5.111) is currently as stable as Beta in my experience, but it is not always that case. Experimental features are added to the Canary channel and it may be less stable at times.
It’s not discontinued. Development is ongoing but slower than many of us would like.
