Update oddity with tray icon process

I find it odd that an update (from 2.2.0.0 to 2.2.0.1 on Win10, but also observed earlier) is unable to close its own tray icon, and therefore installation gets into a strange state. After pressing OK in this dialog (after it had complained that the tray icon was runnig, but it would “try to close it”)

installation continued as if everything was OK. However “About” (after restarting Dup) showed that the update was not running. Only after I killed the tray icon process and ran another update (= repair) the new version was launched.

Wouldn’t it be possible to guide the user better in this process - or better: automatically shut down the tray icon before an update so that the processs runs smoothly?
