I am running Duplicati 18.104.22.168_canary_2021-3-10
Update check does not report current or new version available. Is this by design because the build is Canary? Previous versions reported running most current version. This one does nothing. Just blink.
Checking the website manually, I find version 22.214.171.124 beta is available.
Yes. It checks for updates for whatever channel you’re in. 126.96.36.199 is the latest Canary.
You can find your channel in About → System info, e.g. DefaultUpdateChannel : Canary
You can find it and control it in Settings. A fresh install changes channel type to its type.
Are you sure? 188.8.131.52_canary_2021-03-10 is extremely close to 184.108.40.206, per that link.
I don’t think this can be tried on previous versions now because now there are new ones.
“Check for updates now” status indicator also mentioned this before in forum UX category.
I’d note that CLI tool does better:
No updates found
You are running the latest version: 220.127.116.11_canary_2021-03-10 (18.104.22.168)
