After about half an hour 1 block (20MB) seems to have uploaded. My internet up speed is running at about 100KB/s so this should be around 3 to 4 mins.
I never used to have connection/upload problems (230GB uploaded in the last year). until setting up this new backup using the new version (to try and fix my other problem).
I’m wondering whether I should try using the older/previous version I was using before, and setting up a new backup to see if that resolves the issue.

and log shows Put failing after 2, 3, 4, 5 minutes, or unknown. The first hasn’t failed or finished in 8.
Make sure you have the throttle control at top of home screen set to not throttle, and have no throttle options in screen 5 Advanced options. Without those, Duplicati should push the upload at full speed, however I’m starting to think this is now a network issue. You could install Wireshark (advanced tool), however you can get easier clues on a quiet system from Task Manager watching speed either from Performance tab or Processes tab. Do you ever see anywhere near your expected network speeds?
How do you know your internet upload speed? ISP plan target, or network speed test? For the latter, most of them do parallel uploads and show you the sum of everything the test could push through…
The netstat -s command on a quiet system other than what you’re testing may also reveal things:

If you see lots of segments retransmitted (usually after a timeout), that’s likely going to slow things.
You can certainly try, but make sure it’s the version and not something else such as a Duplicati restart that fixes things (if they fix). If you haven’t already done it, I suggest restarting the computer and other things including networking equipment. If you’d rather troubleshoot first as suggested, please feel free.
